It should be no surprise that I’m a big fan of Social Smoke as a brand but many of you have been asking for my top 5 Social Smoke flavor picks. While I love many of their flavors I found it pretty easy to pick my top 5 that I mus have in my collection at all times.
Arabian Nights
Social Smoke Arabian Nights is a delicious tobacco with notes of coffee and chocolate complimented by rich spices. Of all the modern tobacco I’ve smoked this has the best mouth-feel with velvety and thick clouds delivering potent flavors. I think every modern tobacco fan should try this one get a taste of the darker side. The sweet, smooth smoke is very approachable while offering something deeper and more complex than the average fruit and dessert flavor. If you have any interest in traditional tobacco but you’re wary of such strong and robust blends this is likely your best stepping stone to help test the waters.
Mango Habanero
Mango Habanero is one of my all time favorite tobaccos. A tasty blend of sweet, slightly tart mango with a complimentary, tropical flavor derived from real habaneros. Along with that flavor comes a bit of heat as this blend will bite your tongue with capsaicin but it’s not as frightening as it sounds. The burn is mellow and enjoyable so you don’t feel like you’ve been sprayed with mace. It’s definitely not for everyone but it’s one of the most unique tobaccos on the market that offers truly delicious flavor and I’m a huge fan.
Voltage
Who thinks to combine watermelon and lemon with amaretto? The folks at Social Smoke did and I’m glad they are more creative than me. Voltage is predominantly a fruit flavor but the almond/cherry flavor of the amaretto lends a deeper, rounder and more full flavor that I love. I keep coming back to this flavor and I love it a little more every time.
Melon Rush
Mostly melon with a bit of berry thrown in; Melon Rush is one of the most approachable and refreshing melon flavors I’ve ever come across. A juicy flavor with plenty going on to keep me interested while avoiding the overly sweet, cloying and sticky flavors that often come with melon. If you want an even more powerful endorsement, Carri hates all melon flavors but she really likes this. A great buy if you love melon and a worthwhile test if you don’t.
Clove
Straight up sweetened clove with no frills or wacky combinations. Social Smoke Clove is easily one of the most versatile mixers on the market but surprisingly good all by itself. The flavor is powerful without being overbearing and I love it. If you’re not interested in the flavor of cloves or the mouth numbing effect they can offer then you’ll likely want to pass on this one.
