I am a fan of using mouth tips when you don’t know a person well enough to feel comfortable sharing a hose or one of your friends is feeling a little ill. The right disposable mouth tips can make this a hassle free endeavor into being sanitary.
The Social Smoke ones aren’t the tips I would use. The design seemed sound until I tried to actually use them. I use a lot of wide gauge hoses and these don’t fit the acrylic mouth pieces at all. That means that if you are using a nammor, razan or large Khalil Mamoon hose you are out of luck. I have one hose that these fit well and it’s not a hose I use very often. Most tips are supposed to be able to either go around the mouth piece of a hose or to go inside depending on which way you turn it. For all my effort these would only fit my traditional Syrian hose and only one way. They were way too big to fit into any of my other hoses and too small to fit around.
2 out of 10. I don’t like these. There are better mouth tips on the market that will accommodate more styles of hoses and are more comfortable to use. These will work fine if you have an old style hose with a small mouth piece but otherwise they are useless.
Oh ya, I have no idea why they are called metal hose tips. They are indeed plastic.
