A new product has hit the market recently and I was lucky enough to get my hands on some 100g samples of the Nirvana Super Shisha Tobacco. What makes this tobacco “super”? What makes it different? Is it good? Let’s find out.
Nirvana Super Shisha is a hookah tobacco that was recently released by Nirvana Dokha as an extension of their existing product line, which consists of various blends of dokha. The flavors of the Super Shisha mirror the flavors that are available in the form of dokha. Also, Nirvana Super Shisha is a hookah tobacco that has been blended with dokha.
Dokha is a middle eastern tobacco that is smoked out of a small pipe, similar in fashion to the western style brier pipes and almost identical to the Japanese Kiseru. The tobacco is very different than western tobacco or the kizami tobacco smoked out of a kiseru. Dokha is a very strong tobacco that is known for giving a heavy nicotine buzz. It is most often a blend of various leaves crushed and ground into a nearly powder like form. The smoke is inhaled and held in the lungs to achieve the strong buzz that most dokha smokers are seeking.
Nirvana Super Shisha is billed as having a stronger buzz than normal hookah tobacco and I think I can confirm this. It is not as strong as a classic tobacco like Desi Murli, but it is definitely stronger than most of the modern style tobaccos on the market. I found the buzz to be of a medium strength without too much of a head rush.
I have only tried one of the flavors so far and I found the flavor to be enjoyable. It is definitely a modern style tobacco with fruity, floral and sweet flavors. The tobacco itself is red in color and smells very strongly of the intended flavors. They are all blends and the one I tried is known as REDRUM. This is a strawberry blend with a secret blend of spices.
I found this flavor to be pleasing and sweet, but it did not strike me as a realistic strawberry. I need to smoke this a few more times before I actually review it and tell you what I really think, but so far I am enjoying it.
The price is fairly high at $9.99 for a 100g pack. This puts it into the price range of other modern “premium” brands like Fumari.
I’ll report back as soon as I feel I can give this tobacco a fair review. This is definitely a modern style tobacco with a slightly stronger buzz and bit of a more robust texture to the smoke than one might expect. If you plan to pick any flavors up from this line of tobacco just make sure that you know you are getting something with a higher nicotine content than the average modern style tobacco.
