Apparently this brand has been around for while, but it has avoided my inspection up until this point. I was sent three samples of their tobacco and I was actually pretty excited by the smell. The first one on the chopping block is Hookah on Hookah Mint.
In the container the tobacco smells pungently of mint with a slight note of mint candy or gum. Looking in the package I am met with very finely chopped tobacco containing a lot of varied pieces, thin stems and a few different colors of leaf. The tobacco seems like it hasn’t been given enough time to absorb the honey and glycerin, so it almost seems dry even though this is a very wet tobacco. I’ve seen this before with products that seemed rushed, so I’ll try and update you after this tobacco soaks in itself in my stash.
Sadly, the flavor is kind of lacking. It’s an okay mint tobacco, but it’s mid range at best. I would happily take Nakhla Mizo Mint or Something Girlie Be Otch over this tobacco. It’s by no means terrible, but the mint isn’t strong enough and it has an artificial edge to it that is not exactly tickling my fancy.
You can do worse, but that’s not a ringing endorsement.
